This design is exclusive to The Speckled Loon.  What makes “Lessons from a Loon” exclusive and unique to us?  Because the loon featured here is from a photograph taken by the designer at her summer home on Leech Lake in Northern Minnesota! 

We used a special technique to covert the image to be used in this sign and in the logo for her business.  You will not see this sign offered by any other handmade business.   It can only be found here.

The common loon is the state bird of Minnesota and offers some practical advice for us all.  The design is done in classic ebony stain and crisp, white paint.  It is framed in a farmhouse style frame.  The timeless color and artistry of this sign will compliment any home décor.

The sign is offered in two sizes, 19.5 x 13.5 inches or 25.5 x 17.5 inches.   Choose the sized that fits your home best.

The wood used on the board is high-quality edge glued pine.   The boxed edge, sturdy farmhouse style frame is stained in to match the sign.  The frame makes this sign a perfect “shelf sitter.”  

This handcrafted wood sign is designed and sealed to be hung indoors.   Being handcrafted and made of wood, there will be natural imperfections in the wood, coloring and other slight irregularities.   We make no attempt to eliminate or hide such imperfections or flaws, as this is handmade wood sign with a rustic feel.
