The Watermelon DIY Décor Kit is an affordable set to finish – as you basically need a few colors of paint and some glue. I have a some suggested paints and glue linked below, but you can use whatever you have on hand.

I have included a bunch of extra watermelon seeds in your pack. They are unfinished, but you can easily color them with a black paint marker and use them as accent decor in your kit!
We used Waverly chalk paint from Walmart (Crimson, Ballet Slipper, Fern and White), but any brand of chalk paint, paint markers or craft paint will work. For the smaller pieces – paint markers work really well.
You can add a little white to your red paint to get a dark pink, or add white to your green paint to get a light green.
We used gel super glue from the Dollar Tree to adhere all the pieces. You can also use wood glue if you want more time to work with the piece before it sets up.
You will also need some small paint brushes, foam makeup sponges or foam brushes to paint it all, and some toothpicks and wet paper towels for cleanup.

This Kit Contains 6 DIY Projects + One Bonus Project
1 - SWEET SUMMER BOX SIGN
This sign is approximately 4″ X 6″. It is a box frame that stands on its own. It also has a sawtooth hanger and twine hanger attached to the back.
2- WATERMELON GNOME
This piece measures 5.25″ round. He has a shiplap background and comes with a little stand so it is easy to display.
3 - INTERCHANGEABLE TRUCK
This project is approximately 4″ tall x 6″ wide. It includes a stand, and the bed has a little spacer so you can slip the little melon or the “Life is Sweet” mini sign in the back.
4 - SWEET TAG BANNER
This banner kit includes the following pre-painted pieces: 5 tags & 5 letters. It also includes string and 6 beads. Your bead selection may vary slightly from the beads pictured. Hang this at the top of your dislay for that perfect accent. The finished banner is about 12″ wide x 1.75″ tall.
The tag is about 4″ round & is reversible! One side has a says “One in a Melon and the other is a Watermelon Popsicle. The beads for the Garland are pre-painted in a watermelon theme and it also includes coordinating ribbon and tassels.
6 - Loony Bow Kit
We found this adorable Watermelon themed ribbon and couldn’t resist putting it in the kit. Finished bow is about 6″ wide.
